VisAbility’s Low Vision Assessment Service can support you whether you have minor vision impairment or significant vision loss.

Our therapists provide assessment and strategies to maximise the use of your remaining vision. Our low vision assessment is available to both children and adults. When you are fully informed about your vision condition, you can make decisions about the services that will best support you and meet your needs.

Through this service you can:

  • Receive a comprehensive low vision assessment
  • Better understand the functional impact of your eye condition
  • Access optical and low vision aids and learn how to use them
  • Receive advice on lighting to make better use of your existing sight.

The Acquired Brain Injury Vision Services assists people with neurological vision impairment to maximise remaining vision to live safely and independently.

Background information from your Ophthalmologist or Optometrist is needed before we can conduct a complete Low Vision Assessment. This information needs to be less than 12 months old from the date of your assessment. It is important that if you wear glasses, that your script is up-to-date and you bring these to your assessment.
