VisAbility is proud to have been able to assist a Tasmanian artist, Janelle McMillan, with specialist support and information about disability for her upcoming children’s book titled “What is a Disability”.

Janelle’s book is about people with disability and she aims to try and prevent bullying in schools across Australia. Janelle writes from personal experience as she has Cerebral Palsy herself, which has resulted in her needing to use a wheelchair at all times and being unable to speak verbally.

Janelle’s has written and illustrated her book using a computer system tailored to her specific needs and we are thrilled to share it as a resource for children and parents here on the VisAbility website.

VisAbility would like wish Janelle well with her endeavour and sincerely hopes that her work is successful in reducing bullying in schools across Australia.
