We are proud to announce VisAbility’s new five-year Disability Employment Services program, CoAct Employment Services, which launches this month. This program will be run in partnership with CoAct, a national provider of employment services in Australia, for people with a sensory disability (individuals who are vision impaired and hearing impaired) in both Western Australia and Tasmania.
We are excited that this service will be available to any job seeker with a sensory disability in metropolitan Perth and metropolitan Hobart. If you are interested in this program, we encourage you to get in touch with our friendly Gateway staff for more information or to organise a referral.
VisAbility is also proud to announce that it has been appointed to the Panel of Assessors under Job Access for 5 years from 2018 – 2023. This means we will provide Support Wage Assessment, Ongoing Support Assessments and Workplace Modifications for individuals with generalist disabilities entering the workforce in WA Metro areas, and in Hobart, Launceston, North and West Tasmania.
“This program plays an integral part in our mission to shape a world where people with disability are given the same range of options, same level of freedom, and same control over their day-to-day life and decisions as any other person,” said Kary Macliver, VisAbility Executive Manger Client Services.
We will also undertake specialist workplace modifications for individuals living with vision impairments state-wide in WA.
