Seeking participants for the VisAbility My Vision project
My Vision is an online and interactive resource being developed to inform people living with vision impairment, their families and professionals about the choices that are available to meet their needs. VisAbility is seeking participants to contribute to My Vision to ensure that the project can inform individuals on the best ways to navigate the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and provide information, resources, and referral suggestions.
In order for My Vision to assist the needs of all people with vision impairment and enable individuals to self-direct their services and supports, VisAbility wants to hear your thoughts, opinions and experiences related to the NDIS. You can get involved in two ways; via focus group or survey.
Focus Group
This will involve participation in a focus group which should take approximately 60 minutes and will be recorded. All participants will receive a $50 gift card.
There will be two main focus groups, one for people with vision impairment and another for the parents and/or carers of people with vision impairment. There will also be teleconferencing options for those that wish to participate and live in regional or remote areas.
The focus groups will be held during the week of 23 October – 3 November with specific dates and times to be confirmed based on participant availability.

Survey
This will involve participation through an online survey. If you are interested in being involved please follow this link to complete the survey. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/myvisonmychoice. It should take you approximately 20 minutes to complete. The survey will close Sunday 5 November.
