Are you a senior and would like to get involved with an online discussion or activities group for free to improve your social connections? Well now’s your chance. We have some groups which are positively flourishing and we’d love you to join us.
If you live on your own, it’s the chance to expand your friendship circle and fill some of those spare hours. These opportunities are open to everyone, male and female, wherever you live.
Are you a Sudoku king or do you have excellent debating skills? Maybe you want to learn a new language, fancy some meditation and relaxation or are keen to progress your DIY skills. Perhaps you just want to enjoy general banter. Whatever your interests, we’re sure to have something which suits you.
Internet access is all you need to make new friends online. If you’re not sure how to set up an online platform such as Zoom, we can help. Remember there is absolutely no cost.
How do I get involved?
Take a look at what’s on offer and email us or give us a call, the details are below. It’s as simple as that. There’s no fees and you don’t have to commit to the sessions week-in, week-out. Join one or as many as you’d like. For some sessions, there is no need to stay online for the whole duration.
Cooking Chatter – 13:00pm – 15:00pm. Like eating and socialising? Then this group is for you. Learn basic recipes online in a friendly, fun atmosphere, so you can add a few more dishes to your weekly dinner schedule.
Exercise Meditation – 11:30am – 12:00pm. Soothe away your troubles and your concerns and enjoy half an hour of exercise meditation. Relax and stretch your muscles while reaching a mentally clear and calm state.
Men’s Discussion Group – 13:00pm – 15:00pm. For this session it’s a males only invitation. Talk about sport, current affairs and your DIY queries.
Beginner’s Italian – 13:30pm – 15:30pm. Italian is a beautiful and intricate language so why not say ‘Ciao’ to learning phrases and words.
Memories and Focus Group – 09:30am – 11:30am. Do you love quizzes? Whether you are competitive or not why not get involved? Quizzes and challenges are a great way to get to know people and offer insights into our personalities.
Japanese Culture – 09:30am -11:30am. Did you know Japan is one of the most popular tourist destinations for Australia? Learn about the culture, arts, way of life, history and even language in an informal and friendly atmosphere.
R U Okay Chats – 10:00am – 12:00pm. How are you doing? This is an opportunity just to have a chat and talk about anything you want. They say that a problem shared is a problem halved, so air any worries and let us know how you’re getting on.
