Introducing Online Therapy Services

We’ve come up with a solution so we can continue to deliver therapy to clients throughout the coronavirus outbreak.

We’ve introduced an innovative online therapy service, created specifically to meet the needs of our clients during the current pandemic. There’s no need to cancel any of your therapy. You can rest-assured that you’ll still have regular contact with your therapist so you can reach your goals.

Therapy services we’re offering online include:

This online therapy can be provided in whatever way suits you the best. It may be via Skype, Zoom, Facetime or even over a traditional phone.

It’s just like any other therapy session, so feel free to ask any questions.

Benefits of online therapy

Online therapy is just as effective as face-to-face therapy and in some ways it offers more benefits. These include:

  • Regular contact with your therapist
  • Flexibility with scheduling appointments
  • Reduced travel costs
  • Less risks to you and your family
  • For parents it is empowering, you can put techniques which you’re learning into everyday use

We’re receiving really positive feedback with many parents saying it’s giving them greater insights into their child’s needs. It’s also improving confidence, with clients putting what they’ve learnt into practice.

Video-conferencing has provided our family with more regular access to therapy, ongoing support and has guided me in the right direction. It has been so valuable for my son, without it we wouldn’t be where we are now.

VisAbility client

For the therapist, it has meant they can take a step back and provide greater direction to individuals so they can achieve their own goals.

We are the experts to deliver this service as we recently secured a HESTA Community Services Sector Award (link opens in new window) following the introduction of an Orientation and Mobility program delivered to clients in remote WA.

Online therapy service appointments will be arranged at a convenient time to suit yourself. If you do decide to cancel, please give us 48 hours’ notice, or service fees will still apply as per normal cancellation policy. Your therapist will be in touch to arrange an appointment through this service soon.

Care during the coronavirus outbreak

Throughout our office shut-down, we’re still operating the switchboard and receiving calls. Social distancing and self isolation means the Covid-19 outbreak has left many people more alone and stressed than ever.

You’ll probably have more time available, which means it’s a good time to learn a new hobby. If you’re feeling isolated and vulnerable, make sure you let your therapist know so they can refer you to one of our social workers or psychologists.

We will be making extra efforts to keep in contact through our social media channels Facebook page (link opens in new window), Instagram (link opens in new window) and LinkedIn (link opens in new window) during this time.

If you’re not a current client and would like to receive online therapy services, please get in touch to arrange an appointment.
