We’re switching up our school holiday program this winter and introducing our Fitness Food and Fun school holiday program. Facilitated by our Exercise Physiology team and our Dietetics team, our group program is designed to encourage movement, physical skills and healthy living for kids.
All programs are designed to be accessible and inclusive to children with low or no vision, and siblings are welcome to come along too.
We’ll be running the same session on Wednesday 7 July and Wednesday 14 July. All classes will be hosted at Perron Place, 61 Kitchener Ave, Victoria Park 6100 WA.
Junior: For kids aged 4-6 years old
Aimed at children who need to focus on developing their movement skills, such as hopping, running, catching, and throwing or balance in a fun and engaging way, and dietetics messy food play.
When: Wednesday 7 July at 9am & Wednesday 14 July at 9am.
Intermediate: For kids aged 6-11 years old
A combination of both fundamental movement skills and the beginnings of bodyweight exercises for those children who are beginning to develop further physical literacy skills and habits, and dietetics lunch box and snack ideas.
When: Wednesday 7 July at 1pm & Wednesday 14 July at 1pm
Senior: For kids aged 12+
An introduction to strength and conditioning. Resistance training has been found to be an effective method to promote muscular strength and a direct impact on locomotion, muscular power, endurance and functional abilities, and dietetics functional healthy eating goals.
When: Wednesday 7 July at 3pm & Wednesday 14 July at 3pm
