Our interactive training workshops provide an opportunity for participants to gain knowledge and insight into vision loss and impairment.

Corporate Training and Workshops

These workshops are designed for employers or businesses that work with people with vision impairment in a corporate or supported living environment.

Living with vision impairment

Gain strategies for everyday life and learn to utilise assistive technology to help individuals to live independently at home, work or in the community.

Living with vision impairment (Human-guide experience)

Human guide training includes learning how to safely guide a person with vision impairment.

Day in the life of a person with vision impairment

Gain insight into what a typical day might entail with vision impairment and discuss how strategies and assistive technology can be used, together with support for AT solutions eg. digital talking book players etc.

Supporting people with vision impairment in supported living environments

Gain an overview of vision impairment and how you can be a supportive carer by understanding accessible information and completing our human guide training.

Our Disability Access Consultants offer a range of services to assist in making your online platforms and physical spaces accessible to all people. VisAbility is represented at a number of Access and Inclusion Advisory Groups including:

Location

Our training courses and workshops are available at your workplace or another preferred location. They can also be hosted at Perron Place, 61 Kitchener Ave, Victoria Park.

Our preferred video conference tool is Microsoft Teams, but if you require an alternative platform, we are happy to discuss the options available.
