On 10 June 2026 we recognised 14 of our wonderful volunteers in Accessible Information Services (AIS) who received WA Volunteer Service Awards from the Department of Communities last month as part of National Volunteer Week.
A number of award-winners, some of them regional, gathered for a lovely morning tea in the Hub at Perron Place, where our CEO Anna Presser presented certificates (and cake).
“Today’s not just about certificates and years of service, it’s about celebrating the commitment, generosity, kindness and dedication… You really are the lifeblood of the community,” Anna said.
“These certificates we are handing out today recognise important milestones, but they also recognise something much greater, whether it’s helping with braille, checking audio books, assisting with production… Your efforts are truly valued.”
“Every recording, every review, every task completed and every hour given helps ensure that people in our community can access information, stories and resources that might otherwise be out of reach… The impact of your work reaches further than you may realise.”
